Heyoo weird week... our pday got changed to Tuesday this week because we had a severe storm roll in early Monday morning with tornado warnings so they post-poned our pday so we could leave the house if needs be for groceries.. it was a weird day and got to be about 83° WHICH WAS AMAZING... for those of you that know how much I love the sunshine!!! No tornados for us here in Clayton! But we did get the chance to make some belated Easter baskets for some neighbors and friends in the ward. :) so that was fun!
We had a wonderful Easter and we actually had a neat chance to participate in a Facebook live event for our mission and Sister Poulson and I were chosen to bear our testimonies and share our Easter Sunday thoughts as part of a Sunday worship experience! If you want some Easter testimonies and upliftment you can watch it after the fact from this link... hopefully it works, cause its always a good time to celebrate the Saviors life and atonement! https://www.facebook.com/ ChurchOfJesusChristGoldsboro/ videos/216570616343642/
We had a sweet surprise this Sunday a cute CUTE family in the ward stopped by our house and Caroled Easter songs to us and gave us a HUGE basket of eggs and candy! The ward has been so loving and supportive the whole time we have been in quarantine... amazing! The church and its members are AMAZING!
We decided to go out and draw some Easter art for people in our complex with chalk... pics attached... and after we finnished... it started to pour rain... oh well at least 2 people got to see it before the floods came down. If you've never seen a North Carolina thunderstorm in the heat you are MISSING OUT! It is AMAZING, the lightning and thunder are so incredible.. I will miss it... there's lots of things about this great state that I will miss!
We have been having lots of meetings this week, we had virtual MLC, District council and a mission conference all talking about how we can continue to share the gospel within the walls of our apartment! The Lord has given us so many amazing tools President Spencer W. Kimball said, “I believe that the Lord is anxious to put into our hands inventions of which we laymen have hardly had a glimpse”. We are so blessed to have this technology right now to allow us to share the gospel in any and every phase of life!
28 days in quarantine and 22 more days a missionary... time flies... sometimes haha but I know there are lessons to be learned though it all!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and were able to reflect on the Savior with your families and loved ones! And that you all have a happy Tuesday!
