Another week and another month come and gone out here! I had a realization this week about how short of a time this really is, and how I want to more fully cherish every moment out here, both the good and the bad!
Happy 4th of July! My most favorite holiday is here! I hope everybody has a beautiful, hot sunny Independence Day and watches an amazing fire work show with those they love! Families make everything in life better so make sure you do all you can to show yours you love them!
This week many many exciting things are happening in the NCRM. Today our mission merges with the Chesapeake Virginia mission and we take in 2 new stakes along the coast in our mission which is super exciting. We are also getting a very special visit tomorrow in our mission wide conference and I will be so excited to tell y'all about that... next week.
I am so VERY thrilled to tell you we found someone AMAZING and GOLDEN to teach this week! His name is Jose and he is the husband of a member! They are newly wed and sooooo cute! We have had 2 lessons with him this week and they have been BEYOND amazing! He keeps his commitments and comes prepared with questions! It almost made me want to cry tears of joy!!! This has been a long time coming to meet someone like Jose I am so excited to see where his path leads him!
OKAY...CRAZY... so sister Hansen and I are at the church recording a song to post on Facebook and we get this text from a random number asking if this Is the sister missionaries... yes it is... turns out to be my uncle who is stopping In Fayetteville on fort Bragg for the military!!! What, along with some prayer and permission from president we were able to meet up that night for shakes and talk for a bit! It was AMAZING! We got to talk about what it is like to be a member in the military, and how to share the gospel in that situation! So rad and so happy I was able to see him! You da bomb Ty!
We bikes a ton this week, we couldn't find anyone to take us around on Tuesday and ended up biking over 21 miles. Needless to say my legs were pretty jello the next day but I felt very accomplished afterwards hahah.
We met some of the most interesting people out here like I swear I could right a book about the interactions I've had with some people out here, (just ask ill tell ya all about them) but I have learned this last week that truely every single person is a child of God. Everyone. And he sent us here, or matter of fact we choose to come here, to face things and to do our best to make it back and that is what he wants more then anything! I'm so blessed to be here In the place no matter how rough around the edges it may be! I love the Savior and I'm so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel that I do! I love being a missionary and I love you all!
