HOLA! I got some good stories for ya this week but not too much time so enjoy. :)
We had a fun experience with Brayden this week! He as been struggling with feeling like he knows enough before he gets baptized! So we used an idea one of my friends gave me involving pizza! We planned on teaching him that you dont have to have the whole pizza to know that it is a good pizza, just like you dont need to know everything to know that the church/ Book of Mormon is true so... we brought a pizza as a fun little thing to the lesson...but it turns out he is lactose intolerant... so that failed hahahah but oh well! He got the point! We are hoping for good things with him soon!
GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING... This week I realized how much I am not in control at ALL and it honestly has been the most refreshing feeling EVER!!! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!
One experience from this week that really put this into perspective was a GOOSE CHASE that the spirit sent us on. We went to target in the afternoon to store contact and as we were saying a prayer to go in, the spirit reminded me mid prayers that we promised someone we were gonna stop by so I speedy quick finished praying and told Sister Smith we had to leave and go to this ladies house. So we rushed over there and turns out it wasn't a good time so we left, but on our way back we got the idea to go to Lowes instead (Why? I have 0 clue because neither sister smith or I know jack about anything at Lowes, But we went) and nada, so we decided that we needed to go back to target. We only had 15 more min of contacting and didn't know why we were supposed to go back to target, but as we walked through the isles this cute women and her young child came up to us and said... "I know you..." we were like "um no sorry we don't know you" it got kinda crazy so we got separated but then ran into her on another isle and said " oh I know you, your missionaries you have the same ora/spirit as the missionaries I used to meet with, I have been thinking about them so much but I dont know how to contact them." and we were able to give her the information for the missionaries in her area and we feel that all that running around so we could be in that specific place in target to get her back with the missionaries! SUCH A MIRACLE! We had no clue why but then hindsight everything makes sense.
Joy in Christ Devotional was this week so we got to go up to Chapel Hill and sing! SO COOL. Ill attach some pics from our little trip up to the city ;)
We started teaching Maddie this week she is so sweet! We made her her own personal sparkly maddie version of the Book of Mormon and she is a DOLL!
We were on bikes this week which always means something interesting must happen lol! I ripped a dress riding in the rain! Part of the fun ahah :)
OKAY so Agnes... her 2 year old is a little... difficult... to say the least.. so when we have to take turns who will teach and who will play with lyric, on Tuesday I got to teach and on Friday sister smith taught. It is SOOO interesting to teach by yourself both sister smith and I feel so weird doing it by ourselves. But I learned how much I need to rely on the spirit even more when I don't have a companion to lean on! Heavenly Father is answering so many of her prayers and we are so excited!
We had a pretty interesting experience this week with a less active member, we felt like we needed to visit her and she is home bound due to age and health. As we stopped by she told us to come on in and we immediately felt like something was off in her house, as we walked in we saw something very inappropriate on her tv and it made our heart sink that this member was surrounding herself with things that do not invite the spirit. So sister smith and I did what sister smith and I know how to do best... WE SANG... we sang her the song a missionaries prayer. It was really touching to see her turn away and literally see her change her spirit as we sang and talked about keeping the ones who the missionaries have gathered within the fold of the church! We gave her some scriptures to read and she said with tears in her eyes that she needed that!
Ive never been so exhausted in my life, but also never so happy!
THE CHURCH IS TRUE!
Love you all
SISTER KINNE!
