Southern BBQ

Where does the time go?! Its Monday already!
It has been cold and rainy this whole week, but finally got some sunshine yesterday and today which we are thrilled about! I'm looking forward to NC in the spring with all the trees in full bloom!
This week was full of service opportunities the service pilot our mission and it has been wonderful! We love being able to serve so much and meet so many amazing people in all walks of life!
I FINALLY HAD REAL SOUTHERN BBQ it only took me 16 weeks but it happened Haha! A member took us to a place called Allen and sons and it was so yummy! Hush puppies, slaw and all! I loved it!
Our ward got a new ward mission leader, brother Watkins, I don't remember If i said that last week or not but he is so awesome! We have been working with him and this week are going on splits with the ward missionaires and we are excited about that! The ward getting involved is the most exciting part so we are looking forward to splits this week!
We had an awesome lesson with Joe this week about commandments! I was able to learn alot as well! We talked alot about how commandments compare to a seatbelt. The main purpose of a seat belt is not to restrain or limit you but to protect you if you choose to wear it. Because when accidents happen or hard times come, and they will, we will have a protection with us. Brother Watkins also shared something with us that was really cool about how commandments are literally the guidelines on how to be like God. He has given us these commandments to become more like him and the way he lives! SO COOL and commandments dont just mean the 10 big ones but all of them! Everytime a prophet asks us to do something that is a commandment, missionary handbook is a book of commandments, but we always have the choice to follow or not. That is the beauty of agency!
This week was stake womens conference also and that was awesome sister stephanie nielson from our ward spoke. She is the greatest every time I hear her speak I feel so uplifted and know how aware heavenly father is of all his children. We brought someone named christina and she really liked it!
This Sunday at church Joe Minot blessed the sacrament! Such a special experience to see him do that and continue to make steps towards following Christ and blessing to his ward and his family. Later we went on a walk with like half of the ward because it was so sunny! I'm so excited for the sun to be out!
Missionary work is hard but it's the best!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week I'd love to hear from you all! Sorry I didnt take more pics I'll be better this week:)
Love Sister Kinne
