Hello from good old NC!
Transfers are tomorrow and today is crazy so I have a short email for you today!!!
Transfer news... I am going back to Fay 4 full time!!! Yay!! I will get my new comp tomorrow and I am so excited to meet her! Also.... we got switched back to half bike soooooo yay! Haha I saw a meme this week I will send on a depiction of how hot Fayetteville has been this last week! Haha I'm really excited for this new adventure! Sad to leave my sista sista but excited to see the work move forward!!! Soooo in a nut shell this week...
We had Dinner with the Roger's ( a senior couple in our mission) they are the GREATEST!!! Went to the theruers and had homemade peach ice cream for memorial day! Oh and we also got matching skirts!
We got to help out with the Bishop storehouse held at the church and turned the gym into a shopping center! We also helped the Davis family extreme home makeover their house lol. We had and awesome lesson with asevia (hopefully I will have more news on her next week) we got really nice shampoo and conditioner for free from a member! Holla blessings! This member also paid for us to go out and get some food so we went to mi casitas ( one of the only Mexican places in all of nc). We had gospel study in hope mills at kenzies! Had a great lesson!
We had our last district council. Went to service at a place where they have us cut and tie bags together, its actually so so fun!! We Helped a family move! We had dinner at mission bbq with the Roger's again Haha!! Soooooo yummmmmm.
Thursday was mlc and I went to Raleigh with the hermanas and did Spanish work! It was awesome!!!! Didnt understand a word but loved it! I went out with Hermana knight and hermana nwombi.
Urban ministries is somewhere we serve each week and they asked us if we would be willing to tutor so we might be starting that soon! We finnished weekly planning for once this transfer! Weekly planning with 3 areas is near impossible! So that was a huge accomplishment!
We helped another family move sat morning! Had an awesome lesson with Annette where we burned some money to show her what she is doing each time she smokes! She didnt like it but she learned a ton!! We also go to go to a dog festival in the park which was awesome contacting and we also met a ton of dogs!!!! Best day ever!
On the spiritual side of things... this is something I read in PMG a few weeks ago that has really struck me and it applies to more then just missionary work.
“None of us should be like the fisherman who thinks he has been fishing all day when in reality he has spent most of his time getting to and from the water, eating lunch, and fussing with his equipment. Fishing success is related to how long you have your line in the water, not to how long you are away from the apartment. Some fishermen are away from home for twelve hours and have their line in the water for ten hours. Other fishermen are away from home for twelve hours and have their line in the water for only two hours. This last type may wonder why they do not have the same success as others.
“The same principle applies to missionaries, whom the Master called ‘fishers of men.’ A missionary’s line should drop into the fishing water the moment he or she leaves the apartment”
Work hard in whatever you do and make the most of the time that you have! I love this analogy and the principle that comes with it! Live your life in a way that represents accurately how hard you are working on your testimony, not how much you are fussing with the little things that ultimately will not help us gain exaultation!
I hope you all have a great week! Keep me and my new comp In your prayers! Love you all!
Sister kinne!
