WOAH OH LIVIN' ON A PRAYER!!!!
Wow I cannot believe I have reached the halfway point in my mission it has been the best 9 months ever and I look forward to an even better next 9 months!!!!
This week was jam packed with blessings and spiritual experiences! And I am excited to highlight some of these awesome things this week!
This week I had the fun opportunity to go on exchanges with sister Ryan, from Alaska, in Cary! We had a blast serving and testifying with each other! The work is moving forward in cary and they have some awesome sisters there serving and loving the people!! We served at a womens shelter and they asked us to help them go through some suitcases of some ladies who had left the womens shelter for various reasons. And found lots of interesting things... but while we were there we were able to place 2 book of mormons which was amazing!!!
An AMAZING MEMBER MISSIONARY EXPERIENCE WE HAD THIS WEEK!!
Okay so the most missionary minded member moment happened this week I wish all members did this with the missionaries! We were finishing up a dinner appointment with the peacock family! We shared a message about the temple open house and brother peacock said "ya know what? let's go tell my neighbors about it right now" so he got up got his shoes on and walked us over to 4 of his neighbors houses knocked on the door and said " hey neighbor how you doing? We were just having dinner with these two sister missionaries from our church and they were talking to us about the temple! Have you guys seen the temple? Well it is opening here in the next month or 2 and will be open for the public to walk through, would you like to go with me and my family? (everyone said yes, they have always wanted go inside) that is so great well we have these two sister missionaries who teach about the temple, do you want them to come over and talk to you before you go through so it makes more sense?" YES IT WAS AMAZING WE GOT SOME RETURN APPOINTMENTS AND I WAS SO HAPPY HAHAHA!
We also started teaching someone this week named brayden. He is the boyfriend of a sister in our ward and we had an awesome lesson with him this last week, his parents actually joined in on the discussion and the spirit was SO STRONG. The parents said they want to know more as well! After we left brayden said that his mom wants that feeling in their home more so we are so excited to continue teaching them!!!
OKAY MLC!!!
This week we had MLC in Raleigh and holy cow!!!! It was AMAZING!! That meeting was one of the strongest I have felt the spirit my whole mission! We talked so much about leadership, goal setting and plan making, all the while the spirit was teaching me so much about how I can better my missionary efforts! Sister Smith and I both had the opportunity to sing "a missionaries prayer" and we watched a clip of president hinkley visiting his mission in England expressing the love for the people there and it dawned on me how precious this time of my life is! I will never get it back and I am called here to serve and love these people! To shake their hands and embrace them like the savior would or like the prophet would if he could!! I feel such a desire to share this gospel with these people and help them understand their Devine nature and a child of God! It was amazing!!
We had another awesome 2 lessons with agnes and she is doing super! Please keep her and the Paul family in your prayers

Finding this week was amazing! We have these pass along cards with the questions of the soul on them (and we have been told that pass along cards are the least effective way to find) and we decided to make some good use out of them! We wrote scriptures from the book of mormon on the back of each card to help answer these questions taped them up on a board and went to downtown Apex! IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! Of course not everybody was running too us wanting to participate but those who did genuinely had these questions and genuinely wanted to know, and when they heard the words of the book of mormon you could literally see their heart soften! It was amazing! We handed out 2 book of mormons and testified to over 20 people over an hour and a half!!! We will definitely be doing that agian!

Another chance sister Smith and I had to sing this week was in sacrament meeting. A recent convert of a year wanted to sing in sacrament for her celebration and asked us to sing with her! We sang " I am a Child if God" she sang in Japanese and Chinese and sister Smith and I in English! It was super neat!
Missionary work is the best! I LOVE BEING A MISISIONARY!!! Have a blessed week! I love you all! You are in my prayers!
