Grandpa Holland

Wow! Happy forth of july!!! We are so blessed to live here in this country where we can celebrate our freedom and our religion! Living here in Fayetteville the last 5 months has really been humbling seeing all the military men and women here who fight for our country! Keep them in your prayers!! We had an AMAZING WEEK!!!! On the 4th I got to go on exchanges with my old pal SISTER BROWNING! Ah man I love that girl!! We had a blast and a half riding out bikes around in 108° weather then about an hour later we got caught in a flash flood downpour of rain!!!! It was honestly so much FUN!!!! Fourth of July is my favorite holiday and I was so glad I was able to spend it out here teaching and loving the people of Fayetteville!!

We also had something really exciting happen this week for the NCRM! On July 2 the Chesapeake and Raleigh missions merged and held a mission wide conference. In this conference we were so very blessed and honored to have a living apostle of the lord ELDER JEFFERY R. HOLLAND join us for this conference! It was so amazing to see both president Holland who knows and loves each of us with elder Holland who loves us just as much together! We felt of their love and their desire to follow the savior and do his work!
He taught us many amazing things a few of which I would like to highlight!
•"Your mission is THEE most important thing we will ever do in our life." He argued maybe parenthood could possibly content, but the salvation of a soul is the most precious thing to our father in heaven and it is a very big responsibility to carry!
•"The brethren and I take our callings very seriously and we expect the same from you." These people are who we are called to serve and heavenly father is preparing their hearts! All we have to do is find them and teach them as the Savior would!
• He quoted one of his own talks pretty frequently that I LOVE, and highly recommended you read, called missionary work and the atonement! Sometimes it is so easy to ask ourselves "why is this so hard?" But it was never easy for the savior why should we expect it to be any easier for us.
• He taught us a principle that the Savior used in his ministry of loving and teaching to the level of those he taught!
• he also taught that we will never be the same person we were before our mission only way better or way worse. It is our choice who we become.

We had another amazing lesson with Jose this week! And have another one tonight!! We are hoping to set a date with him soon! He is so awesome and so willing to keep commitments, but not only that but also asking question about the things he is learning!!! Ah a breath of fresh air I tell you!!!
We also found someone amazing this week! Her name is laurel! Laurel just moved here from a neighboring city and just getting out of a bad relationship. She was taught by the sisters months ago and by chance one of her sisters came back to visit and referred her to us! She is AMAZING!!! when she was getting taught last year she had kicked so many of her word of wisdom issues and has stuck with them the whole time!!!! The only thing left she has to kick is smoking then she can get dunked!!!!

PLZ keep Jose and laurel in your prayers they are amazing people and deserve all the blessings that this gospel can bring into their life.

Saturday we got to go and do a huge service project with Walmart and our whole zone! We got to go on a bus with this pastor and walk around part of the city picking up trash. Then we all went to a womens shelter and helped plant flowers and make it pretty for them it was a blast!!!

I've never been more tired in my whole life then on my mission, but it is also the best time of my life. We have been biking tons in super hot weather.

The church is true! i love being a missionary and would love to hear from you all!
Love Sister Kinne
