Aloha from sunny NC! This week was so beautiful! This week was a little harder, and that's okay hard weeks happen!
This week we had lots of awesome opportunity to talk with people about what makes them happy! We went down to downtown Fayetteville on a busy Saturday night and stood outside the baseball stadium asking people questions on our white board! The first hour or so our question was "If you only had one more day to live what would you do?" The top answer we got from people was "blow all my money" and "travel to their dream destination" but we had an amazing conversation with one of the police officers, officer Taylor, came and talked with us and answered our question. He told us that he would do everything he could to make sure his mom was taken care of and happy! We loved being able to talk with him about how important family is to each of us and how we know we will be able to live with our families after this life!
The 2nd question we asked was "What makes you happy?" With the number 1 answer being the person they were with, 2nd life, 3rd food 4th sleep! Hahah kind of a fun question but we met some amazing people through this simple question and were able to help people recognize the simple thing in life that make them happy! Some of my favorite other less popular answers were, helping others, music, family, jesus. ect! Mine was my family and the sunshine! So I wanted to get a statistic back from my family and friends back home! What makes you happy???
We had the opportunity to do lots of service this week which is always something that makes me happy as well! If each of us took even 5 min out of our everyday lives and deliberately do a service for someone around us I'm convinced this world would be a lot more happy and full of love!!!
Father day was this week yay!! Dads are the best! I was so grateful to be able to talk to my dad yesterday! He truely is a huge example to me in my life and Is my go to when I am struggling, he somehow always knows what to say to help get me back on track! I'll always be a daddy's girl! love you dad!
I was also reflecting this week on my father in heaven and the love he has shown me in my life! With this weeks come follow me lesson with a focus on the will of the father, I had time to reflect and think about all my father in heaven had given me. Most importantly his son and a way to return to live with him in our families forever! I know heavenly father loves each of us unconditionally and wants us to treat each other with that same love! Jesus is the ultimate example of the love heavenly father has for us.
I would love if yall could keep the people of Fayetteville in your prayers and that those who are ready for the gospel will be found! I want nothing more then to help people find the happiness that comes from knowing the savior and the teaching of the Book of Mormon to strengthen their families!
We get the bikes back on Wednesday and the rain starts again on Wednesday too hahah so we are looking forward to another wet week!
The church is true and I love being able to hear from you all! I want to be better at writing letters do send me your address an I'll write a letter to you from yours truely!
