Happy Easter weekend!
I hope everyone had a happy Easter!!! I had the most wonderful experience this Easter while studying the last week of Jesus Christs moral ministry with the come follow me schedule and I also was able to finish the Book of Mormon Sunday morning with the mission! As we have been reading the Book of Mormon we have been marking every reference to Jesus Christ, his teachings and his words. What a special experience that was for me! I have come to have a deep deep love for the Book of Mormon and feel as though it has become for me, one of if not my most prized and valued possession on this earth! I have found answers to my most heartfelt prayers and concerns in the pages, but most importantly have come to know my Savior on a very personal basis! I love him and I love representing him and his happy message of hope!
Yesterday sister Harmon and I were both able to speak and sing in our sacrament meeting! We sang I know that my Redeemer lives, one of my most favorite hymns! My favorite words In it are...
"He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing."
HE LIVES AND HE LOVES EACH OF US SO MUCH!!!
This week had its ups and downs we did TONS of service which I LOVE!!! We helped some members pack up and move, and some other members paint there shed which was a blast in the Carolina humidity!!!
This week we also had the chance to go back up to Apex and attend first transfer training! It was a blast to see some good ole pals and comps! Tender mercy from that day... we had like an hour and a half drive home and I really wanted a coke and the gas station we stopped at to get one gave me it for free. :,) BLESSED lol sometimes it is the little things.
This week leading up to Easter we made lots of treats for people including my all time childhood favorite marshmallow nests and resurrection rolls. So that was super fun to bring those around to people and brighten their day! :)
We planned an Easter party for the kids in our ward and did an Easter egg hunt and dying eggs! It was so fun lots of work but it was a blast and the kids had tons of fun!
One day this week (I have no clue what day they all mush together) we had to stay inside during the evening because of hurricane/tornado warnings. We were out doing the work and it was POURING DOWN it wasn't even worth is to use our umbrellas cause they weren't helping, but as we were driving we got to a point where the traffic lights were not working... we shortly got a call saying we had to stay inside for the night... so sister Harmon and i watched the testaments and colored in our book of mormon coloring books :)) always a good time here in NC.
As always I love you all and hope you are all happy and healthy! Thank you for all the prayers that come my way! I love and miss you all!
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!
I'd love to hear from you all if you get the chance!
Love Sister Kinne :)
