CAR ACCIDENTS, ATTEMPTED MURDERS AND SOFTBALL SHINS 4/1

HELLO WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!! We had a BEAUTIFUL week here in sunny NC! Spring is finally here!
I got some GOOD STORIES FOR YA THIS WEEK! SUPER EVENTFUL SCARED FOR MY LIFE AT SEVERAL TIMES SO I CANT WAIT TO TELL YA ABOUT IT!!

FIRST lets start with some AMAZING news!! Kenzie is someone who has been coming to this ward for over a year! She is 15 and THE SWEETEST PERSON you will ever meet! She is dating a member and has been wanting to be baptized for a while! We taught her the first lesson and she told us that she really wants to go to the temple, but she will just have to be in the waiting room. We told her that she could go inside and she started bawling. THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG!! We invited her to be baptized on April 13 and she SAID YES she was soo excited and is soooo ready! It is such a special thing when the spirit in the room can testify of the truthfulness of the gospel and bring people to a sure knowledge that what they are doing is right!

ANOTHER amazing spiritual experience we had was with someone named Jaqueline, she was a book of Mormon referral and we stopped by this week to drop it off and she didnt have much time but was asked her if there was anything we could do for her, she said yes can you run to the store and get me a pack of cigarettes.... sorry jaquie no can do but we would love to say a prayer with you. So we did she asked us to pray for her kids that they will be able to come back and live with her, she started crying and told us that she could feel gods love from us! I hope that everyone we come in contact with will be able to feel that same love that God has for each of his children through us!

THURSDAY we had Zone conference and it was wonderful! President Holland tore his ACL playing basketball with the APs so he skyped into our zone conference which was way different but still awesome! We had a focus on how Jesus Christ is the ROCK and we need to ALWAYS BE ANCHORED TO HIM AND BUILD UPON HIS ROCK! i LOVE that! if there is something in your life right now that is keeping you from being built on the rock of Jesus Christ and His doctrine CHANGE. REPENT. AND DO BETTER! Thats all he asks of us, and he asks us because he loves us! If you do this the Devil has NO POWER OVER YOU!!!  Helaman 5:12.
We also got to watch a video from a training Elder Uchdorf did and as i was watching i saw two super familiar faces, ELDER ATWOOD AND ELDER SASAKI!!!! Oh boy how i love those elders! Seeing them took me back to remembering the reason i am serving a mission! It was so fun to see them just for a minute while hearing from an apostle of the Lord.
As we were driving back from zone conference we were just about home when WE GOT REAR ENDED! No body was hurt and there was no damage to anyone's car either so that was a miracle! The lady was super nice! gave us her number so maybe we will call and see if she wants to learn about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ ;)

SATURDAY WAS AN EVENTFUL DAY YALL! OKAY so you all know i am not the most athletic person (understatement of the year) but we went to our gym in our apt complex that morning and we were the only people in there so i was like oh look at this box i bet i can jump on it. Ive seen people do it, it doesn't even look hard. SO I attempted to jump and biffed it so hard! I MISSED THE BOX JUMPING UP AND RIPPED UP MY WHOLE SHIN! It started to bruise IMMEDIATELY after and i was in SO MUCH PAIN! no blood it was WHITE at first then started to bleed like crazy, so i dont know what that was about i just knew i was so dumb for thinking i was athletic! LOL SO i hobbled on back to the apt and didnt want to be a baby about it so i just tryed to ignore the pain and go on with the day like normal! I AM HERE TO WORK! We had service in the morning and so i put on my big girl pants and got to work! I told myself it was going to do no body any good by complaining about it so im just going to ignore it! I was feeling great and about an hour into our service (raking leaves) i look down at my legs and I HAVE 3 KNEES!! It was so swollen it looked like i was storing a softball in my jeans! RIP HAHA but i was not about to stop serving mid service so we finished up and went home to ice it! IT WAS HUGE!!! it has gone down a ton but the bruising and cut is pretty knarly! Moral of the story i need to be supervised when i work out!
SOOOO In our mission there is a person who is a mission wide DO NOT CONTACT. His name is Sunny. He is from Thailand and seems harmless. A few years ago he was taking lessons from the elders and he invited them over for dinner. The elders had a feeling that they needed to let a member know where they were so they texted a member and informed them they were at Sunny's house. Well after eating the elder's started to feel really sick and groggy, apparently Sunny had poisoned their food. Luckily (no such thing as luck, God was looking out for them), the member knew where they were and came to pick them up and took them to the hospital and they were okay! So after that Sunny became a DO NOT CONTACT! Well, Sister harmon and I decided to go to the flea market on Saturday to try to meet some people. It started out really awesome and we met some really cool old ladies. Then we passed by this maybe 20 something year old from Thailand. He was super friendly and said he had met with missionaries before and he loved learning about Jesus. We invited him to come to church on sunday and we gave him our number. He kept asking for the elder's number but we told him to text us and we would send it to him. As we were walking away a member approached us and said "You've heard of Sunny right? That's him." We didn't put two and two together until the member told us, but it was a blessing that the member was there so we were able to find out who this guy was. After meeting with Sunny, Sister Harmon and I both felt a super dark and gross feeling so we left and called our district leaders to tell them we had met Sunny. Then the Zone Leaders called us and told us NOT to talk to him if he showed up at church. We had to tell some members the situation so they could help us if he showed up. I've never prayed harder for someone not to come to church. The Lord was looking out for sister harmon and I because he stopped calling and texting us and didn't come to church. We were so blessed to have the member near us to warn us about Sunny too! Anyways, we are all good and safe and that was a fun experience.

I said it last week and i will say it again this week, I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!! Among the crazy things that occur on a regular basis i know the lord is mindful of me and has his hands fully invested in this great work!

I was reading this week in Mormon where Moroni is talking to US! LITERALLY! Mormon 8:35
35 Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing.
Make time to study and pray about the scriptures they are here for us to learn from and use in our daily lives! to make our burdens light and to help us turn to the savior!
I LOVE THIS GOSPEL AND I LOVE ALL OF YOU!! I hope you all have the best week!
I would love to hear back from you if you have the time today or throughout the week!
Feel free to send me a letter to:
