Holy cow y'all! What a week! EVERYTHING IS NEW THIS WEEK! I got my new greenie baby Sister Harmon! She is from kaysville and went to Davis high! I told president I would be happy to train anyone as long as they weren't a Davis Dart! Haha JUST KIDDING!!!! I love her she is the sweetest sister, so good with people and super hard working! We are also white washing the Fayetteville 4th ward area and..... we are on bikes... so that's super exciting! We were in a trio for the first 3 days this week which was cool! Sister Schneider, the sister serving here previously, got to show us a few things before things around Fayetteville before she was set up for her to go with her new comp. So exciting stuff! We are adjusting well though, so much new stuff but same wonderful message of the restored gospel!
This week we went and visited this sweet sweet older women named sister cottingham who has had 15 strokes and is wheelchair bound! She cant remember lots but is just as sweet as can be! We were sharing John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." As we read she was mouthing along the words with us. What a tender moment for me! I just bust into tears thinking about this women who cant remember much and has had lots of hardship in her life knows how much heavenly father loves her and the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for her so that she can feel joy!
We got the chance to teach a gospel study class this week at the church on faith and spiritual gifts! Each of us have different spiritual gifts, and that is how it is supposed to be, the things that make us different as a whole make us stronger. Heavenly father wants to give us gifts to use to bless others so as we pray and work towards different spiritual gifts in faith we can gain them! Some spiritual gifts I have working on developing this week is the gift of memorization and organization in my new area!
We had 2 people at church this Sunday which was wonderful! And Sunday was also the beginning of our bike week! PRAY FOR US! The hills in this city don't mess around so when we are going down it is so fun, but when we start heading back up we are a sweaty mess haha and it is starting to warm up so that is a blessing and a curse hahah :)
Last night we got invited to a Presbyterian youth night where they got ask us different questions about what we believe, what we practice in our religion and other questions! IT WAS AWESOME I love being able to teach and answer questions by youth because they are so much more open to ask and learn! We learned to much from them and told us after "it was cool to meet mormons because they were like normal people."
Be proud of your faith and let people know what you believe in. We are all different but when it boils down to it we are all the same children of a Heavenly Father who loves us all equally.
Something really cool about Fayetteville is that it is a military town and right now they have the marines visiting Fort Bragg and they are doing all sorts of explosives so all day long you can feel them and they shake the house! It is awesome!!!
I love this work and I am excited to continue serving in the Fayetteville 4th ward :)
Feel free to send me letters! Ask my mom for my address. I love getting them! I Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
