TRADING COFFEE FOR HOT COCO

Ahhh this week may have been the best week I've had on my mission! We saw miracle after miracle, blessing after blessing! We were able to find so many amazing people to teach!

This week we were able to meet with a part member family in our ward, the Minots. The husband, Joe, isnt a member but someone in the ward (brother Nielson) has been teaching him the discussion before we came into the area! They are such a sweet family! We met with them on Tuesday for dinner and talked about faith, then again on Thursday and were able to talk about the word of wisdom. We found out that Joe loves his coffee. He told us he "would work on it, but it wouldn't happen over night", but by the end of the lesson He committed to stop drinking cold Turkey and his wife went to the kitchen with a big trash bag FULL of his coffee in one hand and the coffee maker in the other and gave it to us to take hahahaahah. He also committed to BE BAPTIZED ON DECEMBER 29th we are so happy for him and his sweet family and it looks like we are having a White Christmas!

We were told we were going to have a special guest at district council this week.... and guess who it was.... SANTA!!! Santa was so nice to take a picture with all of us hahah! Later that night we went to an old folks home with the youth to sing with them! Sister nicolosi played the cello with one of the youth and I played silent night on the guitar and sang which was fun!

For the past few weeks sister nicolosi and I have been making ornaments for Light the World and hanging them around Chatham county (the county we serve in) and the Chatham magazine did a post about it on their Instagram! So awesome that people are noticing and we hope we get some people to teach through that!

We also got to go to the Neilsons again this week! They are the most amazing family! We love them and how loving they are to us! Sister Nielson posted a pic on IG of us teaching this week that my mom sent us so that was super fun!

Friday was a crazy busy day we went to a local food bank to help them sort and put away food! That was super neat to be apart of helping people who dont have food get some this holiday season especially! Then sister Austin took us to lunch (her husband is the temple manager over the remodel). Then later we went to siler and got to meet with this sweet woman named Thomosina! She was a bible referral and we had met with her once already! When we came over this time she had invited her friend carolin over to study with us! We gave them both a book of mormon and are excited to meet with them again! Thomosina also gave me my first HUSH PUPPY! Super yummy! She wants us to come over on Christmas to meet her family and have a southern soul food meal! We are so excited about that! After that we went to a members house to practice the cello and singing. Sister nicolosi and I are performing at zone conference this week! We hope it goes well!! It is an awesome arrangement of Child of the Poor and What Child is This! Then we went to a members house to help them set up a Christmas tree which was super fun! Later that night after dinner we had some time so we decided to say a prayer and pick a house! The first door we knocked on an older man answered the door and said " I've been waiting for you!" WHAT?!?! So we were able to go in his home and teach him (ted) and his son (jeff) and his sons wife(colleen). He had met with sisters before 2 years ago in the summer and says he watches out his window for us year round! Isnt that wild!?!? So we are hoping to go back this week and work with them!

The next day we spent the morning inside studying and when it was time for us to go I told Nicolosi that the keys were on the counter on the way out, but when we got outside to the car she said where are the keys? I said I told you to grab them off the counter..... and my spare key was in the car.... so we were stuck luckly on our mission we have phones, unfortunately sister nicolosi left hers inside the house and I dont have a sim card.... so we were stuck.... we ended up running in our dresses to a members house who lives about a mile away who has a spare for this exact reason hahahah!

That night we also got to go to a UNC wrestling match with the Scott's! Colman (the dad) is the coach! They are the best and it was so much fun!! Their little girl Leighton is so fun and spunky we love their fam and it was so cool to watch them wrestle!

And on Sunday we had a linger longer after church which is always fun! And exciting news on Tuesday our ward is getting some hermana's! We are excited about that! There is alot of Spanish work that needs to get done out here!

Thank you for all your prayers and sweet Christmas cards! It makes our day when we get cards from yall! Plz Send us some! And email me your address if you want a Christmas cards we are sending them out today!
