Helllllloooooo!!!
This week flew by! We have been so busy and been having a blast here in Pittsboro!
We had the coolest opportunity this week at zone conference to hear from elder Costa from the 70 and his wife! It was so amazing! Here are some of the highlights of what they shared! He told us to have a plan B and C always but always give your plan A to the lord! He knows what is best for you in your life so always put his plan before your own! He encouraged us to pray for a greater faith so see miracles in our lives! He is a convert to the church and since joining the church he told us he has never had a bad day! My companion and I looked at each other saying like well lucky him because I've been a member my whole life and had lots of bad days, but he followed by saying you can never have a bad day when you know, understand and live the plan God has given us, yes you will have challenges but no bad days. I love that! Hope we can all have a greater outlook on life knowing God has a plan for us! Also they asked me to lead the music at zone conference and guess who doesn't know how to lead music.... me! So super embarrassing there was an elder on the front row doing it so I could keep it straight lol sooo embarrassing, but good learning experience lol.
On exchanges this week I stayed in my area and "took it over" which was crazy because I've only been here 2 weeks but my comp puts alot of trust in me which is nice! But I forgot if I said in my last letter we are white washing an area that was closed for a transfer so we are kinda starting from scratch which has been crazy! But good!
Tracting this week we met a lot of cool people hopefully we get to teach some lessons this week! We met this women named Tequila and she let us in and told us that she has been reading the book of mormon... what?! So we are going back today to teach her so wish us luck! We could use some prayers out here in the Pittsboro area!
So cool thing that happened this week on Saturday we went to do service at a members house raking leaves, which by the way is NOTHING like at home! THERE ARE SOOO MANY TREES HERE WHICH MEANS SOO MANY LEAVES! But after we left we were going to stop by a referrals and had to change in the car once we got there. We had never met this women but we knew her name was Alison, so right after we got done changing we were deciding what we were gonna do then we see this woman walk out of the apartment complex we both looked at her and were like she looks like an Alison... we were not gonna say anything, but then last minute as she was getting in her car I opened the car door and yelled " is your name Alison??" She jumped and was like yea... "hi we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints...." hahah we were that close to missing her! Super funny/cool experience, after we got in the car sister Nicolosi and I couldn't stop laughing! But we for sure know that it was a prompting for us to yell at her across the parking lot hahah!
Today we we are going to explore the little town which I'm super excited about! Something else we are excited about is light the world!! If you have any fun ideas on how to share the gospel this holiday season send it my way!
We are also looking forward to Thanksgiving this week with one of our members! Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!
This year I am most grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the opportunity I get as a missionary to share this great message!
Id really love to hear from y'all this week if you have time! Tell me what your grateful for and how you plan to light the world this holiday season!
