HELLO!
Another great week here in Apex has come and gone!
We have been SO BUSY in preparation for the temple! We have been working on preparing all our members to invite EVERYONE to the temple! It is so exciting we can HARDLY WAIT!!! THE COUNT DOWN BEGINS!
Some highlights from this week...
PITTSBORO:
I got to go on exchanges this week in my first area! It was so awesome! I spent the day with Sister Cook who is originally from the Virginia Chesapeake Mission! Which was awesome she is such a stellar sister and Pittsboro has some awesome stuff going on! I got to have dinner with Sister Black. We did tons of store contacting, if you ever want a good place to store contact go to the ice cream isle. People are always happy and talkative when it comes to ice cream. I also got to see all my friends and st. barts church and it was so fun! The love that i have come to have for the people on my mission is so indescribable! HEAVENLY FATHER TRULY LOVES ALL HIS CHILDREN SO MUCH!
We had some awesome lessons this week! Agnes is doing great and so is Brayden! We are hoping and praying that they can both be baptized in September!
We taught Brayden the word of wisdom this week in bishop Romans house and it was awesome! After we invited him to live it he said " I already do, my girlfriend talked to me about it in the spring so i stopped drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and switched to water, and i had way more energy and my first period grades were way better." JAWS DROPPED! WHAT?!?! BRAYDEN HELLO THOSE ARE THE BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE AND ACTING IN FAITH!
So he's doing well! hahah
Tia officially moved up to Ashville this week and she had an awesome time at church! She found a friend and is adjusting super well! She asked her parents about baptism this week and she freaked and said no, but tia is so faithful and she knows that as she continues to follow God her moms heart will be softened to the idea of baptism!
Agnes agreed to be baptized! We dont have her on date yet but she knows this is something she needs to do and helps her feel so good!!
MADDIE, maddie is a 10 year old daughter of an inactive member that we started teaching this week! YAY. She is so sweet and are excited to be in their home and get her mom coming back to church:)
2 cool experiences:
1: We were leaving a lesson at someone in our apartment complex and ran into this Indian couple with a trail of stuff following them up about 3 flights of stairs. We asked them if they needed help moving in and they immediately accepted the help! They were so sweet and the dad wanted to talk to us and explain so much of his religion to us and we had absolutely no clue what he was saying the whole time and wouldn't let us get a word in so we stood their trying to talk to this guy for a very long time but didn't understand anything hahah but the daughter eventually started talking to us and she is an India classical singer. She sang for us and it was awesome we asked if we could come back and sing with her sometime and she said yes so we are excited!
2: We got a referral from a member of someone they met at a laundry mat so we went to stop by but on our way in we met this adorable Brazilian couple and contacted them! They were so so sweet and we tried our sub par Spanish on them half way through the conversation realizing they speak Portuguese... RIP so we talked to them over google translate which was still awesome! I LOVE TECHNOLOGY HAHAH helping the work move forward! They said they were interested so we are trying to get them in contact with a Portuguese missionary.
BEING A MISSIONARY IS THE BEST!!!
EVERYDAY IS A NEW CHANCE TO HELP PEOPLE COME CLOSER TO CHRIST AND I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD!
10 MONTHS HAVE FLOWN BY!!!!
I Love you all so much and hope that you are continually doing things to bring you closer to Christ!
LOVE
Sister Kinne
