"But don't touch them"

Hello from Fayetteville NC! I hope everyone had an amazing week last week and an awesome mothers day! I loved being able to talk to my family and grateful for the technology that allows us to talk face to face!! We had zone conference this week which is always the best! We had the chance to sing in zone conference which was a blast! We sang "Jesus the very thought of thee" which was great and super fun! We also got to participate in the role play which was exciting especially because I didnt know I was going to be participating in it until they invited us up lol. We are moving to a different way of accounting in district council and it is awesome! It will take some getting use to but it will be great! We all got new white boards for our apt and any missionary knows that is a huge blessing haha (it's the little things sometimes). You should see us driving back and forth from hope mills to Fayetteville everyother day with a huge white board in the car haahah. We are a sight! I got a sinus infection this week which lead us to take some time this week on running to doctor's offices the first 3 we went to were either didnt exist or were super dumpy so that took a good chunk out of our day, but I can breath now so it was all worth it! We got to do lots of unplanned service this week, we helped an old lady assemble a lawn mower and helped someone in the ward out in her back yard. Along with our other service, I have loved being apart of this service pilot and so glad we have inspired brethren to allow us to do 10 hours a week. One day during service this week we were able to serve around a ton of amazing people from different organizations getting service hours. As we served we were able to create an awesome friendship and ended up going to lunch together, one thing led to the next and we invited them to both come to church to hear us sing. And one of them did come! How awesome is that! Service was able to help someone come and experience the blessings of the sacrament! Fun highlight this week!I one of the best dinner appointments I've had! So we go to this recent coverts house named lavonne He's about 50ish years old and his two adult kids joined us for dinner as well. He is at a energy level 10 all the time. We were in the middle eating and a fire truck truck pulls up in front of the house and starts to paint a near by fire hydrant. We mentioned to them we thought firetrucks were so cool before anyone could even say anything lovane gasps and jumps up and runs like a mad man out of the house. He started yelling "The sisters want to to take pictures by your truck!!!!!" His kids gave each other the look like oh just typical dad. I was laughing so hard I didn't even know want just happened so we all went out side and got to take pictures by the fire truck lovane was more excited than anyone! He kept telling all of the firefighters "go stand by my sisters in christ so I can take a picture BUT DONT TOUCH THEM!!" It was honestly the weirdest but I was all for it!! We were also able to have a bomb spiritual message at his house about the book of mormon. He had his son and God daughter there to join us and we were able to place 2 book of mormons that night! It was aweome! We also had dinner with a less active this week, it was a blast. He told us about all his adventures he has had all around the world and shared a spiritual message about the will of God! It is always so cool how the spirit works and prepares people for the messages they need to hear! After the message he shared with us one of his favorite hobbies which Is gun building! He showed us all his cool toys and even let us hold a few haha! We had some awesome lessons with Chris and Anastasia this week! They are like the best missionaries and they arnt even members yet! They have a bunch of people renting out rooms in their house, so recently everytime we go over they will invite, their roommates to join us! They help us teach them and answer their questions! It is AWESOME!! Steve is one of their roommates and he had a golden statement this week..." I dont think I loving and merciful God would send good people like the monks straight to hell" Steve I couldnt agree more, we had planned to teach the plan of salvation before he even asked that question! I know God can prepare us to teach before we even begin teaching! Ah I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! This week I began a new Book of Mormon reading experience where I am focusing on the promises heavenly father gives us as long as we follow what he has asked us to do. D&C 82:10 "I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise." He has made countless promises with us, with endless amounts of blessings! The only thing we need to do is to recognize what we need to do to recive those blessings and to become a new creature through Christ! I love the book of mormon, I love being a missionary even on the days that are not as awesome, I still love it!! I'd love to hear from you. You all have the best week ever!
Love Sister Kinne
