Hey yall!
We had a pretty good week down here in good ole Fayetteville NC.
IT WAS BIKE WEEK the first and the last for this area hahah. Yesterday we got switched back to full car so that was a blessing from on high hahah but it was a good week!
We went on exchanges this week, sister james came with me and we had a grand ole time together biking up and down the town! you never realize how many hills there are until you have to bike up them. We bikes about 10 miles and our legs were JELLO! Shows you how weak i am haha. We stopped in at this retirement home to visit some members and had a really nice talk with this sweet old lady named Cathy. When we were ready to leave we headed outside to the bikes and we couldn't unlock them to save our life! We sat there for about 30 then finally submitted to calling the elders to come rescue us haha! they came and process of elimination unlocked the chain. SOMEHOW they got reset soooo that was super fun hahah!
We had a lesson this week with someone the last sisters were teaching and we met up at a coffee shop, sister harmon and i both felt like it was going nowhere and we were gonna just cut it short leave and drop him, but we both felt the need to stay just a little longer. Not to long after that a man came and sat at our table, we asked him if he would like to join us in our talk about the book of Mormon. He said yes i would love to i have one of those sitting on my book shelf at home, but have never read it. We told him that he should, and we explained the history of it and the restoration. We asked him if he attended a church he said yes, but he is looking to switch, i need a church that claims authority. Well Tony do i have the church for you! we got his number and are going to see him next week! i am so grateful that sister harmon and i were able to listen to the spirit and stay even when we didn't know why!
We also had the fun opportunity to go downtown with some people that we are teaching, they invited us to Clueville! It was an event that was like live clue and we got to see and meet lots of cool people from it.
Elder Winzenz, the housing coordinator took us out to lunch which was so nice of him and we got to go do some service with him for a while which was really neat! I love our senior missionaries in this mission! they are the best!
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! Wearing this name badge is my most favorite thing ever. I love the savior so much and i am so grateful to be apart of this work! I love you all and i hope you have a blessed week!
