BITTERSWEET WEEK

Hello!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!!! This week has felt super duper long, but awesome! I had to say goodbye to my sweet trainer, Sister Nicolosi, but she isn't far haha I've already seen her 2 times this last week! Hahah so fun though I'll miss her so much but I'm excited to have a new comp! Her name is Sister Durfey, she is from Las Vegas and the sweetest human ever! I've loved getting to know her and being able to teach with her!
Lots of exciting stuff happened this week it feels like my last email was a lifetime ago!! So much has happened! I had to say goodbye to Sister Nicolosi and got to meet Sister Durfey! We have been busy busy busy! Her first day here we had so many appointments scheduled I got to show her basically the entire county which was awesome! And we got elders in our ward! Elder Saenz from Columbia and Elder Beer from Tooele super awesome and ready to do the Spanish work here in good ole PB!
Since it is now February, Sister Durfey and I have been cutting out hearts like mad men! We have been sharing a message about the Christ-like attributes of love and charity! As we learn to develop a love for God, our neighbors, and ourselves, we can gain charity by acting on that Christlike love!! And we know from Moroni 7:47 that charity is the pure love of Christ! So we have been cutting hearts out and praying with members on who they can "heart attack" and show charity! It has been really fun and neat to see people receive personal revelation for their friends and family that need a little love!!
We were so close to setting a baptism date with Quisa this week, but we got the infamous southern answer..."but I've already been baptized..." I feel so blessed in my life to have a firm knowledge of the power of the priesthood! It is the literal power to act by the power and authority of God! And worthy male members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have that on the earth today!!! How amazing is that!!!! We are hoping that is something she will gain a testimony of as we teach her!
Something else really neat is I have been able to speak to two different deaf people right here in pittsboro! I guess my 2 years of ASL is kinda paying off! Super cool and kinda nerve wracking but hopefully we can work out a way to start teaching one of them. :)
This Saturday we headed out to Morrisville to practice singing in the missionary choir for the mission president devotional going on this next Sunday! They have asked me to sing a solo in one part of the songs, and that is exciting! It's a song I have never heard before and SUPER HIGH and those who know me know I sing super low Haha so it should be fun hahah. The song is called "may I serve thee" and it's a really pretty song. Saturday we also went to a ground hog's day party at a member house and that was super fun hahah!
I had a member so kindly offer to let me keep one of their guitars while I am in the area and it has been SUCH A BLESSING! Playing the guitar every night trying to work out hymns has been sooo funnn!! So blessed to have sweet ward members who offer things like that!!
SUNDAY! We had three people come to church how awesome is that!?!? I will hopefully have some cool experiences next week to share about two of them! One of them was David who has been coming for about a month. And the two others are someone we just called and invited and a member brought! So we are exciting to see where they go from here :)
We had a lesson a few weeks ago and brought a member (Sister Law) along with us and she snuck a pic of us teaching the lesson. She told us how a member did that for her when she was on her mission and it was her favorite photo because it brings her back to the moment that the spirit was with her and testifying of the truth of what she taught! super neat and something I will treasure forever! ♥️
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! It is HARD, but so AWESOME!! I would love to hear from y'all today or through out this week!

LOVE♥️,
Sister Kinne
