WONDERFUL WEEK

Hello!!! This week was awesome!!!! I dont even know were to start! So I guess I'll just start from the beginning!
New Years Eve!!
After pday was over we went over to our favorite members house for some new years eve dinner! We played this fun charade game with them and had a spicy themed dinner, they know Sister Nicolosi and I LOVE spicy food!! They had Jalapenos poppers, spicy mashed potatoes and even cyane pepper cookies! It was so yummy!!! Then we went over to this women named Lynesse (she has MS and is in a wheelchair), we tracted into her a few weeks ago and said that we are an answer to her prayer. We tried teaching her once then after the lesson we asked her to pray and she prayed to mother earth..... soooo we arent teaching her exactly, but she loves us to come over and help her assemble her furniture. She had us put a dresser together which was fun. Then since it was new years eve we had to go in early, when we were leaving her house we took some trash out and started running back to the car because it was cold and this guy outside yelled at us and was like "OH NAH!!! YALL JUST THROW A BOMB IN THERE?!?!" hahahaha after we got in the car these 3 guys came outside and start getting into it with HUGE bottles in their hands, just right in the middle of the street. It was kinda awesome/ kinda scary lol but the guy who asked us if we bombed the trash can kindly guided our car around the fight! Hahah then later once we got home we did some face masks and sister nicolosi found some wax strips in the bathroom and we had some time so she said what the heck let's wax my arms! HAHAHA WE DIED! It was so funny and I wish I could send the video to yall, hahah and she has been regretting it every day since hahah but it was definitely funny!!
Next day we went back to Lynesses house to put together a TV stand and then all the Sisters from cary and siler came over to exchange and we ended up making lunch for everyone Haha. Then Sister Denning and I got to go on exchange again. We had a blast, spend the whole day in siler and had back to back to back lessons which was awesome! Once we got back to pittsboro we stopped by this man's house from the area book (his name is David) and when he answered the door he was so so excited to see us and said I was just reading the Book of Mormon?!? What!?!? So we set up a time to come back later that week and it went well! We brought some members with us and he was super cool and open to most of the things we were talking about. Sadly he said he was gonna come to church but like they always do... didnt come. But we will try again for next week!
Next day we had district council, and this was my fav district council yet! We talked about the value of knowing how to street contact no matter how awkward it is. Sister Nicolosi set a goal to talk to EVERYONE! And by acting on that goal we were able to meet one of our neighbors, Brandon, and he wants us to come teach him and we are pumped!! After district council WE WENT PANT SHOPPING! HAHAHAH it was weird to be shopping and feel like a normal person for a min Haha but I have pants now lol I am getting them darted today, but well see if I wear them too often Haha. Kinda neat though!
Later that day we met up with this lady that we serve with, her name is KT and she wanted to meet with us which was neat. She lost her daughter in a car crash when she was about 19 so loves being around the sisters. She is a very genuine nice lady and is soooo service oriented. She came to church this Sunday and just told us afterward she couldnt believe how much peace she felt. We help her serve at a free community dinner every 3 weeks and that is tonight so we are excited to go help with that!

Then came Saturday! JOES DUNK DAY!!! Joe is the first baptism I've been able to be apart of on my mission and it was amazing! It was so neat to see him dressed in white and taking this big step towards this new life!!! Last minute the musical number cancelled and I was able to fill in and sing and play the guitar. I sang "That's
How I'll Be" by Kylee Shaffer (which is the best song ever you should all listen to it!) Stephanie Nielson gave an awesome talk on baptism and what it means to take the name of Jesus Christ upon ourselves. And how it becomes such a big part of us!! I'm so excited for their family and the goals they have now to make it to the temple to be sealed together forever!!! We also rode our bikes to remind some people about church the next day because it was so nice outside, let me tell ya biking in a skirt, not as bad as I thought it would be haha! Then later that night had a new years fun run and party with some nice vinegar drenched southern BBQ mmmmm yummy!
And then 2 hour church!?! How is that!?! AWESOME! Love it!? Sister Nicolosi and I started the "Come follow me" and I Love it! What an amazing tool the brethren have given us to come closer to Christ as a family and as individuals!
After that we tracted into an awesome lady named Becky, she loves the missionaries! She invited us and and was like do you guys want a coke?! ANSWERS TO MY PRAYERS! lol too bad it was fast Sunday, hah but she gave us some for the road!
All in all it was a super great week! I love this work, I love the people and l love this gospel!

This week in my studies Alma 37 really spoke to me! It talks about a lot of different things, that are all really powerful! I encourage All of you to take some time this week to read it! Something I have been noticing in the Book of Mormon lately is the word "if" it is a very powerful word, especially when it is the Lord speaking. IF we do whatever he asks us HE WILL give us the promised blessing that come along with it! Alma 37:16-17 As we act and follow what the Lord has asked us to do we can see His hand in our life, even the smallest and simplest things can bring to pass great things! He knows ALL THINGS, and by following him and doing what we know to be right in the eyes of God we can be filled with the love and knowledge he has of what and who we can become! Alma 37:36-37 I love this gospel and love all of you! I'd love to hear from yall this week! I hope everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying the new year!
