Taking the training wheels off!

Hello friends and family!! Hope ya'll had a wonderful week!! Transfers are coming up this week and I am officially out of training!!! Sister Nicolosi is getting transferred to Cary and I am staying here in Pittsboro!! I'm sad to see her go, but she is still my STL so I will see her every Wednesday at district council and exchanges.
This week was pretty slow but it's all good. Some weeks are more exciting then others, there are some highlights I'd love to share though.

We did lots of the same things this week in terms of service but we always get to meet awesome people! Like Karen (and Jacci not in the pic) we serve with them at the St Barts Episcopal church community lunch and they are just so sweet and love that we come and help!

We have been teaching this women named Quisa for a few weeks and she is really great! She has two teenagers and has had alot of death in her family recently. So we have been slowly going through the plan of salvation with her! She is so awesome. We are hoping to get her to church with us in the next few weeks.

This week was the second week David was able to make it to church and he is loving it! The ward has been amazing in helping him feel welcomed and he feels the love that is felt in our church. We are going to be continuing to teach him and help him progress in the gospel.

This Thursday we woke up at 4:45 to get ready and go to seminary before school started for the youth in our ward! I have so much respect for the youth of the church who have early morning seminary. Coming from Utah where seminary is during school and is looked at as a class you can just skip out on. I wish I would have placed more value on seminary and the teaching that come from it. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE TO LEARN THE GOSPEL.

One night this week I got a raging headache while we were at Sister Blacks and of course Sister Black has a natural cure for everything.  So they gave me a cup full of cayenne pepper mixed with water and made me chug it hahah RIP! It didnt get rid of my headache but it sure did clear me out hahah.

We had some time this week to find and we thought we could to the main street in our town and contact. So we stopped into this guitar store and talked to the man that works there named Tony and we talked with him about his life and he played some hymns with us. We are going back this week to play some more and he is going to help fix my uke :)

Yesterday after church we went and helped set up the community free meal tonight and got all the desserts out :) super fun! Then we went to a members for dinner and they got their guitar out and let me play a bit. We asked to borrow it because Sister Nicolosi loves to volunteer me to sing places lol. So I'm going to be singing a few songs for the community tonight hahah. Then later after dinner we went to a few members houses with the guitar and took advantage of having it playing a few songs for some members. Music is such an amazing form of sharing testimony and inviting the spirit!

Hope ya'll have a good week! I'm looking forward to meeting my new comp and the new adventures. I will for sure miss Sister Nicolosi and all the things she taught me! She is an awesome missionary and I'm so glad I got to be her companion.

I'd love to hear from yall this week! Love your guts!
